Our Story
Since 1975, 3rd Street Auto Repair has been a trusted name in vehicle care for Bardstown and the surrounding communities of Nelson, Washington, and Bullitt counties. What started as a local auto shop quickly grew into a staple of the neighborhood—and we’ve proudly carried that legacy forward ever since.
Owner Wes grew up around 3rd Street Auto Repair. At just 15 years old, he began working under the previous owner, learning the ropes and developing a passion for honest, hands-on work. After years of dedication, he worked his way up to full-time technician, became manager, and eventually purchased the shop in 2021 when the original owner retired. His father, Bruce, also worked in the shop during high school, adding to the deep family connection and continuity that defines the business.
Being family-owned and operated means we do things differently. We treat every customer like a neighbor—because they are. From a simple oil change to more complex diagnostics and repairs, our mission is always the same: deliver prompt, honest, and reliable service at a fair price. We don't upsell, and we don't push what you don't need. And unlike some competitors, we don’t sell fuel—we're 100% focused on providing high-quality auto repair and maintenance.
